Firm Description and Experience
Maland Technology Group is an Internet and communications system design company located in Fairfax, Virginia. Established in 1994, our principal role was as a full life-cycle network systems house. By 1996, our client’s requirements centered on downsizing mission critical systems to UNIX based Client/Server networks, the basic fabric of the Internet. As interest in the Internet grew our client’s efforts shifted to Internet studies and experimentation, where we provided task specific or a complete range of technical and creative services.
During 1995 we participated in Web Site Design projects as well as the design and implementation of the underlying network and server platforms. In 1996 we served as a principal contractor or sub-contractor on several large scale Web Site Projects. Our projects ranged from national political conventions, international associations and non-profit foundations to small technology companies.
Due to rapid growth and expansion of our business, we had to restructure into two organizations to serve our clients’ needs in a more efficient manner. One group concentrates on equipment engineering and maintenance and the other, a designer’s consortium called MALAND Technology Group, has the focus on Internet related services.
Today, Maland Technology Group is a full service Internet provider with design, engineering, graphic, hosting, maintenance and promotion capabilities. We have project experience with many Internet access providers and hosting services and we have excellent working relationships with local account teams and technical groups.
Maland Technology Group is a proud member of the AT&T CREATIVE ALLIANCE PROGRAM (CAP) that was founded to develop productive working relationships with the existing Web Site design companies. As a CAP member, Maland Technology Group must meet strict standards and be completely compatible with the Internet access platforms. We are trained in the Internet services and procedures and are well versed in the implementation process.

Conceptual Design and Implementation
The Maland Technology Group design process will produce a set of design documents capturing the details of the site construction from look and feel to the specific elements. The Maland Technology Group Account Representative will serve as the Quality Assurance Manager working directly with our client’s representatives and the Project Team Leader.
Based on the level of effort for a specific project, a development team will be responsible for executing the site design. The project team will work in parallel on the three primary elements of the site:
· Graphic Content
· HTML Content
· Programming for Navigation and Inter-activity
Maland Technology Group uses a comprehensive Web Site Design Criteria Outline as a structured process to obtain a thorough and accurate understanding of what is required. Through a series of meetings between the client and design team, Maland Technology Group will establish and document the client’s wants and needs. Between each meeting, the team distills the new information into an evolving blueprint of the Web Site until the final design is achieved and agreed upon.
During these meetings, The Maland Technology Group Account Manager and Project Manager will work closely with the client project team to produce the Site Design Deliverables:
· Logical Functional Site Flow Diagram
· Physical Site Structure and Capability Defined
· Navigation Defined
· Styled Page Templates or Story Boards
· Look and Feel Defined
· Specific Graphics and Content Defined
